I’ve been thinking, you know, about impulses. Ever had one of those impulses where you wanted to something completely random, for no reason whatsoever? Like a few minutes ago, my dad’s friend’s family came over for a while to check out his uber music room. We have never met before. The first think I thought was, hmmm… first impressions are important yah? maybe i should greet them. that’d be nice. but you know what’d be fun? pretending to be mentally challenged y/n? should i be the mentally retarded one drooling in the corner? or the socially inept one. OH WAIT I DON’T NEED TO PRETEND TO BE THAT HAHAHA. hmm what about conspiracy theorist full of nonsensical bullshit hmmm…

In the end I just said, “Hi.” Good thing human beings have this thing called common sense. Well, most of us anyway. You see we have this little thing that sits on our shoulder, or two of them. You know, our consciousness. The little cartoon angel and devil. Yea, we tend to listen to one or the other. That’s why there are nice people and bastards. Anyway, moving on.

So what would happen if we had no conscience? I mean not just lacking the little angel, but the devil guy as well. Would we be souless? What the heck will we make decisions. I guess we’ll just descend into little impulsive beings. For no rhyme or reason, we’d do shit. Like punch someone.

Thank god for shoulder angels/devils. (Hmm that should be a song)

Anyway, in case you’re wondering, no this post has no subtle meaning, no secret attack on a person (like some of my other posts i’ll admit) I just felt like writing it :)
